Michael Hicks taught Biology and worked with at risk students for 24 years in Bakersfield California before he became is the Director of LIFT America, an outreach ministry of Christian Educators Association International. He lives in Lynchburg Virginia with his wife Carmel and near his four children who all graduated from Liberty University. As Director of LIFT America Michael helps organize city and regional gatherings of Christians working in public, private and charter schools. LIFT America gatherings are designed to encourage, empower and equip Christian educators and be a catalyst for the creation of campus based LIFT Groups in schools across America.
